Proclaiming himself "Unbreakable" this young wrestler certainly has been impressive showing in his first few years wrestling professionally. He debuted with a win over Aaron Masterson in June of 2006. In 2007 & 2008 he formed a faction with Aaron Masterson & Ryan Slade known as "The New Era". Tired of Slade's bossing him around, he left the faction in mid-2008, much to the fan's delight. In late 2008 he formed a new team, with Mike Sydal. They called themselves "The High Flyers" and made a huge impact in 3XW. In August 2009 The High Flyers defeated The Gentlemen's Club (Gage Octane & Mark Sterling) to become the 3XW Tag Team champions. In the 2009 3XW Year End Awards The High Flyers were voted by the fans as 3XW Tag Team of the Year and Zach was voted the 3XW Most Popular Wrestler of the Year.

In May 2010 Thompson was forced into battling partner Sydal in a Loser Leaves 3XW match. Zach came out on top in the match, forcing his best friend out of 3XW. In the fall of 2010, Thompson gained an opportunity to bring Sydal back to 3XW, to do so he had to face his trainer Brian Ash and defeat him. Thompson overcame the odds and beat Ash that night to bring Mike Sydal back to 3XWrestling.

In March 2011 Thompson turned on one of his close allies, Mark Sterling, and cost him the 3XW Heavyweight championship in a match with Brian Ash. Joining his trainer Brian Ash, Thompson joined the mega group Genesis, turning his back on all of his friends in the process.The move brought Zach Thompson championship gold as he defeated 3XW Pure Wrestling champion Jimmy Rockwell in April 2011. Thompson held the championship until July 2011 when he had to face Sir Bradley Charles, who was voted as Thompson's opponent by the fans of 3XW.
