Trained by Harley Race and Dory Funk Jr., Ash is a throwback to the classic champions that ruled the St. Louis area a generation ago. With an innate skill to always dictate the pace of his matches, Ash is combines brain and brawn to be a dangerous opponent in the ring.
At 3XW's first event Ash defeated former WWE star Billy Gunn (TNA's Kip James) to become the first 3XW Heavyweight champion at Genesis in July 2005. Unified the 3XW Heavyweight and North American titles in a match at February 2006's Road to Glory. Successfully defended his title against the likes of Havyk, Chance Cordova and Mr. Destiny before succumbing to Egotistico Fantastico at Retribution in April of 2006. Defeated Devin Carter to win his 2nd 3XW Heavyweight championship in the finals of the 3XW Heavyweight title tournament at Gold Rush in February of 2007.
In June 2007 Ash's long time friend ,and Blue Chipper teammate, Gage Octane turned on Ash. Octane eliminated Ash from the 2007 Gauntlet for the Gold battle royal and later in the night turned on Ash in a tag match with Devin Carter & Casanova. Octane leveled Ash with several chairshots after that match. The former Blue Chipper teammate's were set for a huge feud with the fans taking Brian Ash's side against the dastardly Gage Octane. The feud culminated in a wild "Loser Leaves 3XW" match in October 2007 where Octane defeated Ash.
In 2009 Ash made a few appearances back in the ring for 3XWrestling. In 2010 Ash came to the aid of his student Maddog McDowell, as Maddog was being assaulted by Jeremy Wyatt. Ash made a challenge to Wyatt to find a partner and face Ash & Maddog in a tag team match the following month. Ash showed his true colors in that tag team match when he blindsided the man he trained to wrestle, Maddog McDowell, with a vicious clothesline. This led to Ash joining the Gentlemen's Club of Gage Octane, Devin Carter, Casanova & Todd Countryman. In an interview after the event Ash declared war on the 3XW roster, pointing out the fact that every member of the Gentlemen's Club is a 3XW Originator, have been there since the first year of the company and then stated the group is taking 3XW back from the newcomers.
